Despite a slow start, Filou Oostende turned the game around and got a convincing 80-66 home win against Lietkabelis in Basketball Champions League. They improved to 2-2 while Lietkabelis still waits for the first win (0-4) in Group A.
Braian Angola nailed game-high 23 points for the victors while Shevon Thompson notched a double-double with 16 points and ten boards. Keye van der Vuurst de Vries added 12 points.
For Lietkabelis, Margiris Normantas scored 14 in addition to Tomas Dimsa and Zeljko Sakic’s 12 points each.
Lietkabelis was up 19-9 early but Oostende turned it around by halftime (39-33) and stayed in control for the rest of the game. They were ahead 57-53 after the third and led by as much as 16 points (80-64) in the fourth quarter.
