AEK defeated Teksut Bandirma, 68-50, at the Kara Ali Acar Spor Salonu on Wednesday to improve its Basketball Champions League Group B W-L record to 3-1.

Keith Langford’s late surge secured him 14 points for the evening and Jonas Maciulis notched 11 points. Howard Sant-Roos was all over the place with eight points, nine dimes, six rebounds and a couple of steals.

The Queen’s newcomer Mario Chalmers did not play.

Ilias Papatheodorou’s side blew up the Regular Season Round 4 game early in the second period by completing a 12-0 run. A balanced scoring display combined with effective defense in various spurts generated several advantages in key stats such as the 15-8 on points from turnovers and 13-4 on second chance points.

The loss at Bandirma dropped Hakan Demir’s to 1-3. Omar Prewitt scored a game-high 16 points, while Emanuel Terry ended up with a 10-point, 10-rebound double-double in losing effort.
