Vechta had everything under control as they grabbed a road win against Antwerp in Basketball Champions League

RASTA Vechta took control of the paint against Telenet Giants Antwerp and logged an 81-74 road win in Basketball Champions League. Vechta now holds a 3-1 record in Group B compared to Antwerp’s 1-3.

Steve Vasturia led the winning side with 15 points and nine assists while Ishmail Wainright followed with 1 and Josh Young with 13 points.

For Vechta, Dennis Donkor banked game-high 19 points in addition to Owen Klassen’s 14 and Vincent Kesteloot’s ten points.

Vechta had an upper hand from the tip-off and were up 26-16 in the first quarter as well as 50-40 at halftime. The guests kept the distance after the break as well primarily thanks to points in the paint (44 compared to 22). Antwerp couldn’t cut the gap past seven points (77-70) and Vechta sealed the win without any trouble.
