Dinamo Sassari was in trouble midway through the game but made the comeback and completed it for a 94-92 road win over UNET Holon.  Sassari improved to 5-1 compared to Holon’s 3-3 record in Group A.

Dyshawn Pierre notched a double-double with 23 points and ten rebounds for the winning side followed by Dwayne Evans, Curtis Jerrells, and Marco Spissu’s 15 points each.

For Holon, Marcus Foster banked 23 points in addition to Guy Pnini’s 20 and Latavious Williams’ 15 points. The latter also added 12 rebounds.

It was a balanced effort early on as Holon had a minimal 26-25 lead after a highly effective first quarter. The game stayed close but the hosts banked three shots from deep and led by Foster’s 18 points went on the halftime rest with a 50-41 advantage.

Even though Holon improved the lead to 15 points (59-44) after the break, Sassari ‘woke up’ and recovered completely. They cut the gap to 68-62 at the end of the third, eventually took over the lead with two minutes remaining (84-83) and thanks to Jerrells’ five clutch points – and calm free throw shooting – sealed the win.
