Luka Rupnik stepped up for Antwerp and helped them stop Pau-Lacq-Orthez’s comeback effort in Basketball Champions League

Luka Rupnik put on a strong performance and led Telenet Giants Antwerp to a 74-69 home win against EB Pau-Lacq-Orthez in Basketball Champions League. Both squads now hold a 2-4 record in Group B.

Rupnik banked 25 points on 8-14 shooting while adding five boards, four assists and three steals. Dave Dudzinski followed with 14 points – all of it in the first half.

For the guests, Nicolas De Jong scored 25 points while Justin Dentmon helped with 20.

Antwerp had an upper hand from the start, led by Dudzinski’s 14 and Rupnik’s 13 points in the first half. They were up 26-15 after ten minutes and 45-32 at halftime.

Pau-Lacq-Orthez managed to bounce back and even take over the lead early in the fourth quarter (61-60) but Antwerp responded with seven straight points and didn’t let go of the lead anymore sealing the win.
