Determined down the stretch, AEK defeated Anwil Wloclawek, 79-77, at the Hala Mistrzow on Wednesday night.

Keith Langford was on fire when it really mattered with seven clutch points, also facilitated the game-winning play with 14 seconds to go. The 36-year-old guard ended up with 16 points in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season Gameday 7 affair.

Jonas Maciulis poured 16 points as well including the clinching dunk following an assist from Howard Sant-Roos and the initial pass from Langford. The middle man from Cuba posted 14 points of his own.

The tough win at Wloclawek improved Ilias Papatheodorou’s club to 5-2 in Group B. Igor Milicic’s side built a 13-point lead in the first half, but ultimately dropped a two-game winning streak and fell to 3-4.

Ricky Ledo banked four threes en route for a game-high 25 points, also took down ten rebounds, added four assists and three steals, but did not extend his impressive outing into the final minutes. Rolands Freimanis posted 16 points.
