Comeback victory, third in a row in Basketball Champions League’s Group D for PAOK, 85-83 over Telekom Baskets Bonn on Wednesday evening.

Kostas Charalampidis’ club fell in a double-digit hole early in the first half, but turned the Regular Season Round 7 tilt around in the third quarter by raining threes at the Telekom Dome. The visitors made 16/28 for the night, but the clinching points came inside the paint from Vangelis Margaritis.

The Greek club’s captain executed to perfection off a smart play to end up with 17 points and the game-winning bucket with 17 seconds left in the exciting match. No luck in a pair of attempted threes on the other side got PAOK to 3-4.

Red-hot Adam Smith poured a game-high 22 points for the winning side. Martin Breunig had a team-high 14 points for the team coached by Thomas Pach that dropped its two-game winning streak and fell to 4-3.
