Brindisi made a late comeback to tie the game and it took two overtimes to decide the victor as Dylan Ennis stepped up to make sure it’s Zaragoza winning this time around in Basketball Champions League

Casademont Zaragoza improved to a 4-3 record in Basketball Champions League Group D by edging Happy Casa Brindisi 96-93 after double-overtime. Brindisi now holds a 3-4 record.

Zaragoza was up 70-64 with 40 seconds left but Brindisi made a 7-1 run topped off with Alessandro Zanelli’s tough layup to force overtime (71-71).

Neither team could create a gap in the extra five minutes and Dylan Ennis’ two free throws made for Zaragoza tied the game at 81-81 forcing yet another extra period. Ennis was also the one to bank two shots from deep in the Spaniards’ 9-2 run which pushed them to victory despite Tyler Stone’s valiant nine-point run in the second overtime.

Ennis finished the game with 21 points while Nicolas Brussino logged 16 points and nine boards. Javier Justiz helped with 14 points.

On the other side, Tyler Stone logged a big double-double with 27 points and 19 rebounds in addition to Zanelli’s 13 and John Brown’s 12 points.
