Lietkabelis made a big comeback in the second half but Dinamo Sassari still got away with an 86-82 road win in Basketball Champions League. Sassari improved to 6-2 compared to Lietkabelis’ 3-5 record.

Dwayne Evans logged 17 points for the victors in addition to Dyshawn Pierre’s 15 points and seven rebounds while Marco Spissu added 14 points.

Zeljko Sakic put on a big 31-point performance for Lietkabelis while also grabbing eight boards. Vytenis Lipkevicius scored 14 and Tomas Dimsa 13 points.

It seemed as though Sassari won’t have any problems getting a win this game as they were up 24-12 after ten minutes and led by 20 in the second quarter (36-16). However, Sakic pushed Lietkabelis back in the game as they cut the gap to just one point (72-71) at the five-minute mark.

Despite the hosts’ effort, Sssari managed to recuperate with a 7-0 run and hold off until the end for the win.
