Jacob Pullen took over and led Mornar to an overtime win against Riga in Basketball Champions League

Mornar Bar gambled away a double-digit lead but still managed to grab a 106-99 home win against VEF Riga after overtime. Mornar improved to 2-6 while Riga now holds a 1-7 record in Group C.

Jacob Pullen was on fire banking 27 points on 8-12 shooting while Milko Bjelica added 17 in addition to Derek Needham and Nemanja Vranjes’ 16 points each.

For Riga, Roberts Freimanis scored 22 followed by Roberts Stumbris with 14 and Alexander Madsen with 12 points.

Mornar was off to a strong start leading 29-15 early on and 54-45 at halftime. They improved the lead to 19 points (69-50) after the break but Riga made the big comeback and tied the game in the fourth quarter (77-77).

Pullen banked four points to give Mornar and 88-84 lead with 30 seconds left but Freimanis and Kristaps Mediss pushed Riga back and sent the game into overtime which belonged to the hosts won thanks to a 9-0 run.
