Three players are currently averaging more than 20 points in the most interesting race for the top-scorer title in the Basketball Champions League

Only once, back in the 2016-17 season, the top Basketball Champions League scorer averaged more than 20 points. Nicolas Minnerath had a season to remember with Saratov. In 15 games, he averaged 20.3 points.

Since then, the top scorer of the competition may be near the 20 points barrier, but finishes under it. However, that’s not the story so far this season. Three players, Justin Dentmon (Pau-Orthez), Chris Wright (Torun), and Keith Langford (AEK) are averaging more than 20 points.

To be exact, Dentmon, having played so far five games, because he was added to the roster after the start of the season, has a solid lead in the race, averaging 22.6 points.

Zeljko Sakic of Lietkabelis and Tony Wroten of Anwil Wloclavek, are also near the 20-point barrier on their average and things are expected to get even more heated when the BCL action stars again in January.
