Hapoel Jerusalem announced the release of 25-year old guard Isaiah Cousins, who has already found his next destination in Peristeri, Greece, according to Walla.

Due to the Israeli league rules, Cousins couldn’t register for the domestic league, because Hapoel had more non-Israeli players in its roster than permitted.  He also averaged three points and two assists in 13 minutes per game in the Basketball Champions League, getting limited playing time.

That’s why the club decided to release him and his role is expected to be much more prominent with the Greek club, which also competes in the Basketball Champions League.

UPDATE: Peristeri announced the signing of Cousins.
