With the playoff race slowly reaching its peak in Basketball Champions Leauge, San Pablo Burgos got a 92-84 home win over Teksut Bandirma.

Burgos improved to 6-4 and will climb to the third spot in Group B while also keeping Bandirma at a 4-6 record and securing a tiebreaker advantage over them in case things complicate in the remaining four Gamedays.

Six players scored in double-digits for Burgos with Earl Clark leading the way with 13 points. Bruno Fitipaldo added 12 and Vitor Benite 11 points.

Augusto Lima notched a double-double with ten points and 11 boards while for Bandirma, Jaime Smith ‘went off’ with 25 points followed by Tyler Kalinoski’s 17 and Ian Hummer’s 16 points.

Burgos was off to a solid start leading 26-20 after an effective first quarter but Bandirma was the squad going to the break with a 49-44 advantage.

The Spaniards came out of the locker room focused making a 13-0 run (60-53) and despite some ups and downs, held a 73-65 lead at the end of the third quarter. A 9-1 run (82-66) at the start of the final period made things easier for them and they managed to hold on until the end for the win.
