Iberostar Tenerife jumped to a double-digit lead from the first quarter and went on for the 80-54 away win over Peristeri winmasters on Wednesday evening.

Marcelinho Huertas paced the winning side with 11 points and ten assists in about 24 minutes of work. Alex Lopez also scored 11 points. Gaios Skordilis went for a team-high ten points in losing effort.

If Gaziantep defeats Brose Bamberg in another Basketball Champions League Regular Season Gameday 10 contest, Tenerife will punch its playoffs ticket. Anyhow, Txus Vidorreta’s club is now 9-1 in Group C, well in place for a spot in the next round.

The team coached by Nikos Papanikolopoulos was on a three-game winning streak but fell to 6-4. The Greek club is still looking for wins to clinch a Round of 16 spot.
