Gained control early and Telenet Giants Antwerp upset AEK, 73-61, at the Lotto Arena on Wednesday evening.

The Belgian outlet jumped in front with a 10-0 run midway through the first quarter and held on the rest of the way mainly thanks to a strong defensive effort. Ultimately, the team coached by Christophe Beghin improved to 3-7 in Group B.

As for the visitors that missed half of their 24 free throw attempts, Keith Langford scored 19 points and Kendrick Ray followed with 13. Ilias Papatheodorou’s side fell to 7-3 with its second loss in all competitions since late October.
