Brose Bamberg had a slow start but turned the tables and logged a home win over Gaziantep in Basketball Champions League

Despite a slow start, Brose Bamberg recovered and eventually grabbed an 86-81 home win against Gaziantep in Basketball Champions League.

After ending a three-game losing streak in BCL, Brose improved to 5-5 and stayed close to a playoff spot, trailing one win behind Peristeri winmasters (6-4) and Nizhny Novgorod (6-4), while Gaziantep holds a 2-7 record in Group C and has just a slim chance to advance.

Kameron Taylor led the way with 15 points while Paris Lee added 13 in addition to Tre McLean and Darion Atkins’ ten points each.

For Gaziantep, Jason Rich scored game-high 18 points followed by Drew Crawford’s 14 and Stevan Jelovac’s 13 points.

Gaziantep opened the game with a 12-0 run and was up 21-15 after ten minutes but Brose was the squad leading at halftime (42-40).

The German team went up by a 13-point margin (73-60) after the break and although Gazaintep cut the gap to just two points (75-73), Brose went right back up with seven straight points and held on until the end.
