Two EuroLeague Women fixtures moved and rescheduled due to “exceptional circumstances”

The games plan has been changed due to the coronavirus outbreak in Italy.

FIBA announced that two EuroLeague games that planned to be played in Italy have been postponed. Italy is grappling with a coronavirus outbreak in the northern part of the country.

Per FIBA:

 

Two EuroLeague Women Gameday 14 fixtures have been postponed and rescheduled by FIBA Europe due to exceptional circumstances in Northern Italy.

Due to health and safety concerns, the regional government of the Veneto region has canceled all public events, including sports matches of any kind until and including March 1, 2020.

After several discussions with the clubs and the National Federations, FIBA Europe took the decision to postpone the two EuroLeague Women games initially scheduled to take place in Italy on Wednesday, February 26.

As a result, the Group A game between Reyer Venezia vs TTT Riga and the Group B fixture involving Famila Schio vs Sopron Basket were moved to Thursday, February 27 and now set to be played at the Stozice Arena in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The new times for the fixture are as below:

– Reyer Venezia vs TTT Riga – 17:30 CET
– Famila Schio vs Sopron Basket – 20:00 CET
