Winning against another Turkish team like Cukurova, Fenerbahce gets the first EuroLeague Women in the club’s history

Thanks to an amazing performance by Breanna Stewart, Fenerbahce destroyed Cukurova 99-60 and claimed the 2023 EuroLeague Women, ending the Final Four on a high note.

The American superstar had 35 points and 6 rebounds, imposing her dominance since the beginning. She was followed by Kayla McBride’s 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists. On the losing side, four players had 10 points each, but nobody scored more.

In the clash for 3rd place between the home side of Prague. and Famila Schio, the Italian orange-and-white team had the upper hand to get the bronze medal. Marina Mabrey was the highest-scorer for the winners with 17 points, while Alyssa Thomas and Brionna Jones had double-doubles in the loss.

In the semifinals, Fenerbahce advanced by beating Famila Schio, while Cukurova had the better of the hometown heroes of Prague. This is the first EuroLeague Women title in Fenerbahce’s history.
