The 2019 FIBA Intercontinental Cup will be held with a Final Four format for the first time since its reintroduction in 2013 and will take place in Brazil on 16th and 17th of February according to Basquet Plus.

AEK, the Basketball Champions League title holder, was expected to face the FIBA Americas Champion, San Lorenzo. However, the G League Champions Austin Spurs and Flamengo as the host team are now expected to be added and form a Final Four.

Rio de Janeiro’s Carioca Arena 1 will be the venue of the Final Four, per Basquet Plus. It’s worth noting that the FIBA Intercontinental Cup Final Four coincides with the NBA All-Star Game Weekend.
