Mac McClung has become the new player for Girona, announced the club on their social media accounts.
The three-time champion of the All-Star slam dunk contest will be playing in Europe for the first time, and the 188 cm tall guard has chosen Girona as his destination.
McClung alternated between the NBA and G League for five seasons, and in 2023, besides winning the slam dunk contest trophy, he also won the G League.
He has dominated for years and is considered one of the best G League players in history. The most recent campaign solidified his status as a legendary figure in the G League.
In March, he went from a 54-point showing to delivering yet another breathtaking performance by scoring a career-high 59 points in a single game, a milestone that officially crowned him the NBA G League’s all-time leading scorer. His historic season culminated in his second career Most Valuable Player award.
