The FIBA Intercontinental Cup will move to Beijing for the first time in 2026 after three consecutive editions in Singapore, FIBA officially announced.

Six teams will compete from September 22 to 27, divided into two groups of three. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, with the championship game scheduled for September 27.

Basketball Champions League winner Rytas Vilnius, Chinese champion Shanghai Sharks and Basketball Africa League champion RSSB Tigers were drawn into Group A.

Group B features Basketball Champions League Americas winner Boca Juniors, host Beijing Royal Fighters and NBA G League United, which reached the final in both 2024 and 2025.

The group stage will be played from September 22 to 24, followed by a rest day. The semifinals and fifth-place game are set for September 26, with the third-place and championship games concluding the tournament one day later.

NBA G League United is the only team in the field with previous Intercontinental Cup experience. Rytas, Shanghai, RSSB, Beijing and Boca will all make their tournament debuts.

Unicaja won the previous two editions, while Sesi Franca captured the trophy in 2023.
