Bosnia and the Czech Republic grabbed the last available tickets for the next round of the 2023 World Cup Qualifiers. The latter qualified in a rather spectacular fashion thanks to Dzanan Musa.

Musa hit the game-winning triple with a second remaining to hand Bosnia a 76 – 73 win over Bulgaria and the qualification to the next stage of the Qualifiers.

Before hitting the decisive bucket, Musa had gone 0-2 from the free-throw lin but John Roberson got the offensive rebound and sent it to the reigning ACB MVP for the kill. Bulgaria, that was minus star forward Sasha Vezenkov, needed a win of 10 points or more to advance and was looking to get that in overtime but Musa stole them such opportunity.

While Musa finished with 13 points plus six assists, Miralem Halilovic led Bosnia with 16 points and eight rebounds. Aleksandar Lazic had 14 points.

Dee Bost led Bulgaria with 24 points and five rebounds.

In Klaipeda, the Czech Republic got an 83 – 72 road win over Lithuania behind Tomas Satoransky’s 21 points and punched the ticket to the next round. Tomas Kyzlink contributed 18 points, five rebounds and five assists to the victory.

Ignas Brazdeikis (16 points) was the leading scorer for Lithuania.

The rest of Monday’s results:

North Macedonia – Ukraine 68 – 73

Serbia – Belgium 73 – 74

The Netherlands – Italy 81 – 92

Portugal – Montenegro 62 – 77

France – Hungary 81 – 40
