Greece returns from Serbia with two players having knee problems

By Eurohoops team/ info@eurohoops.net

Greek national team guard Kostas Sloukas and big man Kostas Antetokounmpo underwent MRI in Athens upon the return of their national team from Belgrade, Serbia.

While they are expected to play in the Eurobasket, they are more than doubtful for the next FIBA World Cup qualifiers game.

Both Sloukas and Antetokounmpo felt irritation in their knees during the game against Serbia. Antetokounmpo was actually forced to exit the game in the first half.

Greece is facing Belgium Sunday (28/8) in the next 2023 World Cup Qualifiers game and will look to bounce back from the overtime loss to the Serbian team.

Greece center George Papagiannis and forward Ioannis Papapetrou, who were both sidelined against Serbia, are still practicing individually.
