The Spanish National Team will face Italy and Netherlands in the upcoming World Cup qualification window

Sergio Scariolo has called up 16 players for the upcoming matches of the Spanish National Team to qualify for the 2023 World Cup.

The two new faces are Girona’s center Eric Vila and shooting guard-forward Pep Busquets from Joventut. There are no players from the Turkish Airlines Euroleague teams Real Madrid, Baskonia, Barcelona, or Valencia Basket.

Scariolo will count on Sebas Saiz, Jaime Fernández, Darío Brizuela, Joel Parra, and Alberto Díaz, which were part of Spain’s national team that conquered Europe last September.


From next Monday, the Spanish internationals will prepare in Bologna for the duel on November the 11th against Italy, which will be held in Pesaro. Three days later, on Monday the 14th, Spain will face the Netherlands in Huelva.
