The national team of Greece will not have Giorgos Papagiannis in its roster against Belgium, as nothing has changed regarding the situation of the Panathinaikos’s captain.

The center of the team from Athens was summoned, but his club didn’t allow him to join the national team, as the Greek Basketball Federation stated.

At the same time, Dimitris Agravanis tried to train on Sunday morning at OAKA, but felt discomfort and also will not travel to Mons for the important match in the FIBA World Cup 2023 Qualifiers.

After first completing its last training session at OAKA, the Greek national team will today leave for Belgium, with Dimitrios Itoudis having at his disposal six EuroLeague players with Kostas Papanikolaou, Giannoulis Larentzakis and Michalis Lountzis from Olympiacos Piraeus, Lefteris Bochoridis and Panagiotis Kalaitzakis from Panathinaikos Athens, and Nick Calathes from Fenerbahce Beko.

Nikos Gikas, Vasilis Charalambopoulos, Kostas Gontikas, Michalis Tsairelis, Dimitris Kaklamanakis, and Georgios Tsalmpouris are completing the team for tomorrow’s game.

Greece comes from a 60–80 home loss to Latvia that dropped them to 4-3 in Group B.
