Argentina needed a victory against Canada to keep on fighting for a spot in the 2023 FIBA World Cup in the Americas Qualifiers.

The Albiceleste managed to beat the red-and-white opponents 83-72, and Facundo Campazzo played a significant role in his team’s win. They are now tied with Venezuela and the Dominican Republic at an 8-3 record in Group E.

Delivering a double-double of 13 points and 11 assists, the Crvena Zvezda playmaker – who still can’t play in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague next to Luca Vildoza – was the MVP of the game. The 40-year-old Carlos Delfino came off the bench for 12 points and 5 rebounds.

During the night, the USA booked their ticket for the World Cup some hours before the announcement of Carmelo Anthony becoming the third Global Ambassador for the International competition.

Langston Galloway stepped up for 21 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists in the 88-77 on-the-road victory against Uruguay, which is now eliminated. Bruno Fitipaldo had a losing effort of 15 points.

In Puerto Rico’s 92-90 away win against Brazil, Tremont Waters scored a thrilling buzzer-beater to seal the deal for his team. The home side, therefore, has to wait for its qualification.
