With five players scoring in double figures, Germany crushed China 107 – 59 in a preparation game for the 2023 SuperCup less than two weeks before the World Championship tips off.
Franz Wagner had 20 points plus five rebounds, Dennis Schroder scored 17 points and dished out seven assists while Maodo Lo added 17 points of his own for Germany. Niels Giffey dropped 16 points and Daniel Theos posted 11 points plus five boards, as their team opened the game with a 25 – 11 lead in the first period and never looked back to remain undefeated during training camp.
Li Kaier (10 points, six rebounds) and Fu Hao (10 points) stood out from China.

Germany will face Canada in the Final of the tournament. The latter defeated New Zealand behind Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 26 points and will get the rematch against the German side after getting beaten earlier in August.
