Djordjevic Loses His First Game Against Serbia as China’s Head Coach

The Serbian National Team secured another preparatory win, defeating China in Shenzhen’s Solidarity Cup with a score of 87-64, led by Bogdan Bogdanovic’s 19 points.

Coach Svetislav Pesic distributed minutes among the players due to the upcoming match against Brazil, who had already lost to Italy. Filip Petrusev contributed 13 points, following the lead of the Atlanta Hawks guard, while Vanja Marinkovic added 11 points.

Hu Mingxuan led China with 13 points, while Zhao Jiwei added 13 points, as Aleksandar Djordjevic faced Serbia for the first time since leaving the National Team after the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

These two teams will also meet in the upcoming World Cup group stage, as they are placed in Group B alongside Puerto Rico and South Sudan.
