As done by several other national teams, Brazil also announced its 12-man official roster ahead of the 2023 FIBA World Cup, which included the newest EuroLeague signings Yago Dos Santos and Raul Neto, who will respectively play for Crvena Zvezda and Fenerbahce next year.

This is the full squad coached by Gustavo De Conti: Marcelinho Huertas, Yago Mateus Dos Santos, Raul Neto, George de Paula, Vitor Benite, Guilherme Santos, Leonardo Meindl, Lucas Dias, Bruno Caboclo, Tim Soares, Felipe dos Anjos, and Cristiano Felício.

In the 2023 FIBA World Cup, the Brazilian national team will face Iran, Spain, and Ivory Coast in Group G, hoping to get to the following phase to face the best two teams of Group H, composed of Canada, France, Latvia, and Lebanon.

Heading to the most anticipated tournament of the year, Brazil won the first three friendly games they organized against South Sudan, Australia, and Venezuela. In the last two preparation games, instead, they lost against Italy and Serbia.
