Yago dos Santos was sizzling and Brazil got the win that pushed them to the next round of the FIBA World Cup

Brazil beat Cote d’Ivoire to grab its second win (2-1) in Group H of the 2023 FIBA World Cup and join Spain in the next phase of the competition.

The final score was 89-77 as Brazil managed to get some distance in the end and finish up things without letting a chance to the African team to steal the game.

Yago dos Santos had a spectacular night with 24 points plus 11 assists. He shot 6-6 triples, draining also a big one for the 74 – 85 with two minutes to play while having 19 points on 5-5 triples at halftime.

After a very intense contest, Bruno Caboclo hit a key 3-pointer with four minutes to play, making it 71 – 77.

Yago dos Santos added a pair of two free throws as Ivory Coast was missing one opportunity after the other bringing the game at a shooting distance once more.

De Paula made it 74 – 82 for Brazil with 2:36 to play and then Dos Santos pulled their team further away with his sixth 3-pointer.

Cedric Bah with 13 points was the top scorer of the losing side, which will have to settle for classification games.
