The second round starts tomorrow with a bang, as all the teams with a 2-1 record will try to cover lost ground

The 1st of September will be the most crucial day for the qualification to the quarterfinals of the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

The way the schedule is structured for the games of Friday in most cases will dictate if the teams that finished the first phase with a perfect record will secure qualification, getting a solid 4-0 lead.

The number one seed of each group will play against the second seed and every team with a 2-1 record plays for their lives.

So this is going to be the most interesting day so far in the competition and you don’t want to miss it.

Meanwhile, it has to be noted that out of the 16 teams which have already qualified, 10 come out of Europe. Outside disappointing France, the only other European team that didn’t make it was Finland.

Five teams from the Americas also made the cut with Canada emerging as a solid medal contender and also Australia qualified not only for the second phase but also directly for the Paris Olympics, after New Zealand’s defeat to Greece.
