The complains of Luka Doncic about the quarterfinal game against Canada didn’t have any kind of continuation with FIBA and the Slovenian basketball federation having excellent relationship and communication

MANILA, Philippines – Luka Doncic’s complains in the quarterfinal against Canada caused a wave of reactions and many criticized his gesture towards the VIP seats of the Mall of Asia Arena.

Doncic, however, appeared rather apologetic in the post-match press conference and when he was asked about this incident, he downplayed it, saying that nothing happened.

The behavior of the superstar of the NBA and of course of the FIBA World Cup didn’t have any kind of continuation and could not cast any shadows either on the organization of the tournament or on Slovenia’s relations with FIBA.

In fact, during the classification match between Lithuania and Slovenia, the president of the Slovenian Federation Matej Erjavec, and the FIBA secretary general Andreas Zaglis sat together to watch the game. This can be considered a symbolic move in the relationship between the two sides.

Matej Erjavec changed seats in the second half, watching the game together with Luka Doncic’s father.
