Matas Buzelis set to make a debut for Lithuania this summer

Lithuania will receive significant help this July in crucial matches during the World Cup Qualifiers

Matas Buzelis, a member of the Chicago Bulls, will play for the Lithuanian national team this summer in the World Cup qualifying games.

Buzelis revealed this news himself during an interview in Vilnius.

We had a good conversation. I will play for the national team this summer. It will be a lot of fun,” he said during an interview at the Buzelis Cup in Vilnius.

This season, Buzelis averaged 16.3 points, 5.8 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.5 blocks in Chicago Bulls, in 29 minutes per game.

In addition to Buzelis, Rimas Kurtinaitis will also be able to count on Kasparas Jukocionis, a member of the Miami Heat.

Lithuania will face Great Britain in Klaipeda on July 2 and after they will travel to Bologna to play against Italy on July 5.

After four rounds in Group D, Lithuania is in second place with a record of 2-2
