Rayan Rupert has been added to the French national team roster for the upcoming 2027 FIBA World Cup qualifying games, replacing Frank Ntilikina.

The 22-year-old recently finished the NBA season with the Memphis Grizzlies and joins the senior national team after previously representing France at youth levels.

According to the French Basketball Federation, Ntilikina underwent medical examinations after the end of his season with Olympiacos, and the results showed that he is not fit to participate in the training camp that begins on June 22 in Pau.

France will face Belgium on July 3 in Antwerp and Finland on July 6 in Pau as part of the World Cup qualifiers.
