Dominating in the FIBA World Cup 2027 Qualifiers on Sunday, Argentina and Uruguay both advanced to 5-1 in Group D of the Americas.
In Roberto Duran Arena, El alma routed Panama 96–71 behind Francisco Caffaro, who posted a 15-point, 10-rebound double-double. Gabriel Deck, Leandro Bolmaro, Nicolas Laprovittola, Facundo Campazzo, and Gonzalo Corbalan joined him in double figures. Meanwhile, Uruguay matched that record by defeating Cuba 99–70 in Montevideo.
The preliminary action concludes this week on Tuesday and Thursday for the remaining groups before resuming late August with Groups E and F.
