Victor Wembanyama led the way as France began the Second Round of the 2027 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers with a commanding 92-67 win over Slovenia in Paris.
The 22-year-old center finished with 22 points, nine rebounds and one block in only 21 minutes on the court. He shot 6-of-10 from the field, made all five of his two-point attempts and went 9-of-10 from the free-throw line.
France took control immediately, opened a 31-17 lead after the first quarter and entered halftime up 54-35. The hosts never trailed and stretched the gap to as many as 29 points before completing a comfortable victory.

Maxime Raynaud and Matthew Strazel added 13 points apiece, with Strazel also handing out six assists. Rudy Gobert contributed nine points, seven rebounds and two blocks, while Sylvain Francisco scored nine.
Martin Krampelj and Gregor Glas led Slovenia with 10 points each. Tibor Mirtic had nine points and eight rebounds, while Alen Omic finished with six points and 11 boards.
