The new Olympiacos star and Real Madrid‘s Andrés Feliz joined forces, scoring 30 and 24 points respectively to tear apart the Brazilian defense and lead the Dominican Republic to a decisive victory that secured their spot in the World Cup final phase.
Montero scored 30 points, shooting 9-of-14 from the field (including 5-of-9 from three-point range and 3-of-8 from two-point range), while also recording four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. However, he committed six turnovers in approximately 39 minutes of play. He is currently averaging 15.8 points and 5.0 assists in the tournament qualifiers. Feliz tallied 24 points and nine assists with just one turnover.

Leo Meidl was Brazil’s top scorer with 19 points, followed by Raúl Neto—who had 14 points and seven assists—and Bruno Caboclo.
The Dominican Republic now has 12 points and sits in third place, while Brazil and the United States share the top spot in the group with 13 points. Mexico follows with 11 points and will host Brazil in the next round, while the Dominicans will host Chile, a team considered the underdog and currently sitting at the bottom of the group.
