Georgia made a commanding start to the second round of the 2027 FIBA World Cup European Qualifiers.
NBA big men Goga Bitadze and Sandro Mamukelashvili joined forces with longtime EuroLeague standout and national team captain Toko Shengelia to lead Aleksandar Dzikic’s team to an emphatic 101-74 victory over Montenegro in Tbilisi.
Shengelia set the tone with 24 points and seven rebounds, while Bitadze followed with 23 points and eight boards. Mamukelashvili delivered an all-around performance of 17 points, seven rebounds and six assists as the trio combined for 64 points. Naturalized guard Marcquise Reed added 12 points and eight assists for the winning side.

Yogi Ferrell led Montenegro with 12 points, while Igor Drobnjak and Jovan Kljajic scored 11 apiece.
With the win, Georgia improved to 4-3 and moved level with Montenegro in Group I.
