Panathinaikos will face AEK in the 6th round of the Stoiximan GBL this Sunday afternoon (November 8, 13:00) without Kendrick Nunn.
The American guard will not be among the six foreign players selected for the “Shamrock” squad—a decision made for planning and load-management purposes—and he has been granted special permission to travel to Qatar.
There, he will finalize matters regarding his passport (and undergo medical examinations) to become eligible to compete for the host nation of the 2027 World Cup. This will also activate a lucrative agreement that stands to earn him 1.5 million for every major tournament in which he participates.
He is scheduled to return to Athens on Tuesday morning (November 10) and will, of course, be available to Željko Obradović for the EuroLeague match against Barcelona (Round 11, November 13, 21:15).
