During the pre-game presser of his team’s game against Anadolu Efes, Barcelona head coach Sito Alonso commented on the World Cup Qualifiers an their schedule that conflicts with the EuroLeague program.

“The players have shown a concern. I would like to have all of them. If I was a player, I wouldn’t want to be in this situation. My intention is that they are calm and that it doesn’t affect them. I see a difficult solution to this because the calendar is already stipulated. We had meetings with the players and there is a concern. They have a huge problem,” Alonso said as reported by Mundo Deportivo.

Barcelona has no less than nine active international players in its roster: Victor Claver, Pau Ribas, Pierre Oriola (Spain), Kevin Seraphin, Thomas Heurtel, Adrien Moermann (France), Adam Hanga (Hungary), Petteri Koponen (Finland) and Sasa Vezenkov (Bulgaria).
