We are counting down to the tip off of the FIBA World Cup in Spain and for one more night preparation games were held all around Europe. Greece defeated Turkey at Istanbul, Lithuania continued its winning strike and at Ljubljana Brazil prevailed over Slovenia in overtime

Turkey and Greece faced each other for the second time in 48 hours, this night in Istanbul. Both teams had a competitive game and finally the Greeks managed to prevail 72-76 over the hosts. Ioannis Bourousis was the top scorer for the winners with 16 points, Printezis added 13 and Nick Calathes finished the game with 11 points and 3 assists. For the Turkish team, Emir Preldzic scored 18 points and Omer Asik added 12.

At Stozice Arena, Slovenia hosted Brazil and an amazing game took place there! The Brazilians started the game being better, but the hosts reacted and managed to control it at the third quarter. Finally, an overtime was needed and Brazil managed to take the road 84-88 win over Slovenia. The two big NBA guys, Splitter and Varejao, caused a lot of damage to the hosts and combined 34 points from the paint. Prepelic scored 19 points and the star of Slovenia, Goran Dragic finished the game with 18 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds.

Lithuania got one more win (80-67), this time against Iran at the tournament of Ljubljana. Kuzminskas, Pocius and Vasiliauskas scored in double digits.
