The third day of FIBA World Cup is over and Eurohoops presents the important numbers from the six games of Groups A and B. Those including great offensive and defensive performances, surprises and disappointments, odds and ends of the stats sheets!

* Gorgui Dieng is the most important player of Senegal, but even the best sometimes need some rest. However he played for 40 minutes against Croatia! It seems unreal but he was fresh and very effective also in the crunch time!

* In the same game Gorgui Dieng and Ante Tomic attempted 26 FT combined, while their teammates had in total 57 FT!

* Iran’s center, Hamed Haddadi, had the best shooting percentage in two point shots with a perfect 10/10.

* Argentina attempted 38 threes (39%), seven more than their two points shots (31, 45%).

* France dished out 31 assists, a record number in the current World Cup until now.

* France’s bench steps up! They scored 59 points against Egypt tonight. They scored 33 against Serbia, while in the first game against Brazil their production number was just 15!

* Third double-double in three games for Andray Blatche (14 p., 15 r.). He has a great individual tournament so far! On the other side, we saw the first double-double of Nemanja Bjelica (18 p., 10 r.).

* Argentina commits 8 turnovers per game, 5 less than the second best team in this category (Spain 13).

* Spanish offense produced 15 points in the second quarter against Brazli. It’s their worst number during this World Cup. The previous low was registred also in second quarter against Egypt (16 points).
