Sasa Djordjevic was satisfied with his player’s efforts against Germany, despite the loss.

Serbia suffered their first loss in the FIBA World Cup European qualifiers last night against Germany on the road. The hosts had a support of the of 5,002 fans in a sold-out Fraport Arena.

Despite the defeat, head coach of the Serbian national team Sasa Djordjevic was satisfied with his players’ efforts.

We played with heart and we fought hard. I am proud of my player’s approach to the game. We have to stay positive and focus on our next game against Austria“, said Djordjevic.

Perhaps, some players felt the pressure because of the importance of the game. We missed three free-throws in the last minute of the game as we failed to make this game really closed. I have to congrats to Germany for their victory as they played very strong”, concluded the legendary Serbian.
