Dennis Schroder shines as Germany blows out Austria

The second day of the third window of FIBA World Cup Qualifiers was completed, as France and Germany enjoyed blowout wins.

Even if he started off the bench, Dennis Schroder scored 25 points in Germany’s emphatic 85 – 63 win over Austria. Since the start, the home side controlled the game (22-16) as Schroder’s addition to the Germans helped the team. Germany has qualified for the second round of the qualifiers with five wins in five games.

France also got a blowout win (52 – 102) against Bosnia & Herzegovina, as 11 of the 12 players scored, and qualified with five wins to the second round. Finally, Great Britain defeated Estonia and currently has a 1-4 record.

Earlier in the day, Bulgaria stayed alive with a victory over Iceland in Group F, while Serbia demolished Georgia on the road. After those results, Russia, Bosnia and the Czech Republic qualified for the second round.
