Aito Garcia Reneses, the longtime Spanish coach currently leading Alba Berlin, expressed his dissatisfaction with FIBA World Cup qualifying Windows and suggested the schedule should be remade so no relevant competitions interfere:

“FIBA Windows are bad for basketball. FIBA should negotiate with Euroleague, Eurocup, NBA and National Leagues a calendar in which competitions do not interfere.”, coach Reneses posted on his Twitter account.

Reneses has won nine Spanish Liga ACB titles with FC Barcelona. He has also won four of the seven major European-wide league titles but not the EuroLeague, although he was a runner-up three times. He also won a silver medal with Spanish national team in 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.

In the upcoming season, he will lead Alba Berlin in the German League and 7DAYS EuroCup campaigns.
