Cedi Osman and Scottie Wilbekin scored 24 points apiece, forming a powerful duo that led Turkey to an 89 – 80 comeback win in the “VTG Supercup” preparation tournament ahead of the World Cup Qualifiers.
In a manner similar to the game against Germany, once again Turkey had a fiery “photo finish” in the game. With Osman and Wilbekin hitting threes at will, the “12 Giant Men” dominated the Czech team 33 – 10 (!) in the fourth period to complete an impressive comeback from 23 points down, 55 – 32 early in the second half
Patrick Auda had 18 points and Jan Vesely 14 plus 11 rebounds for the Czech Republic that didn’t endure enough to secure another victory following the one vs. Italy.
