Turkey finished the September World Cup Qualifiers Window with a 2/2 score after beating Slovenia 86 – 77 in Ljubljana thanks to the fiery duo of Furkan Korkmaz and Scottie Wilbekin.

Korkmaz finished with a game-high  24 points (5/8 3-pointers) plus five rebounds and three steals in 33:30 minutes while Wilbekin added 22 points, four assists and some key baskets in the fourth quarter.
In the mid of the final period, Wilbekin took over with 8 points that helped his team take a double-digit lead, 72 – 83 with 2:49 minutes remaining and, more or less, seal the win. With this result, the “12 Giant Men” are now 6-2 in Group I and can seal the World Cup ticket in the next Window.
Slovenia couldn’t overcome Turkey, despite the efforts of Anthony Randolph (24 points, 12 rebounds). One year after winning the first EuroBasket in the history of the country, the Slovenian national team needs a small miracle to advance since they are in the last place of the Group with a 2-6 record.
Apart from Korkmaz and Wilbekin, Korkmaz posted 19 points and 11 rebounds for Turkey.
