After sealing a spot in the 2019 FIBA World Cup Greece wants to make an impact in the tournament, too, as Tyler Dorsey admits on his recent interview with FIBA.
“We don’t want to go to China just to be there,” he said. “We want to show the world that Greece is among the best teams in the world. The team is going to be very motivated and playing against the best players and teams in the world is such a unique experience to take part in.”
Representing his nation is a big deal for Dorsey, who dreams of winning medals with the Greek NT:
“We know we will have the whole country behind us and we want to make all the Greeks proud of their national team. I’m excited about next summer and I’m going to keep working hard to try to make the team that will compete at China 2019. I dream of winning medals and titles with the Greek jersey on and sharing these moments with the fans, my teammates and my family,” Dorsey added.
