The first set of games of November’s/December’s World Cup Qualifiers provided fans another opportunity to watch and support their national teams up close.

Per information by FIBA, nearly 10.000 fans attended the game of Turkey vs. Spain to witness the “12 Giant Men” take a 71 – 67 win and get one step closer to the World Cup.

In Italy, 5.200 fans sold out all tickets and were rewarded as their country’s national team neared a World Cup spot by beating previously undefeated Lithuania 70 – 65.

Montenegro handed an upset to Latvia despite the fact that the latter was backed by a crowd of 7.500 in Arena Riga.

Backed by a full-house Tel Aviv Arena, Israel notched its first victory in the Second Round of the World Cup Qualifiers in a crucial match vs. powerhouse Serbia. The Israelis’ 83 – 74 win keeps their chances of advancing to the World Cup alive.

Finnish fans crave basketball and their national team in particular. This was evident in the game vs. Russia (a 77 – 75 win for the visiting squad) where 6.866 fans filled all seats in Espoo Metro Arena (photo).

Meanwhile, Argentina triumphed over Team USA 80 – 63 with more than 10.000 fans attending the game.
