Italy still needs one win to advance to the FIBA World Cup through Europe’s qualifiers. The Azzurri will host Hungary on February 22nd and if needed will seek their clinching “W” facing Lithuania on the road three days later. Ultimately, one win in either match will be enough for a trip to China next summer.

Romeo Sacchetti named Awudu Abass, Pietro Aradori, Paul Biligha, Ariel Filloy, Diego Flaccadori, Alessandro Gentile, Riccardo Moraschini, Davide Pascolo, Giampaolo Ricci, Brian Sacchetti, Stefano Tonut, Luca Vitali and Michele Vitali members of his squad for the upcoming FIBA National Team window.

AX Armani Exchange Olimpia Milan’s Jeff Brooks, Andrea Cinciarini and Amedeo Della Valle will first be available for their club’s EuroLeague Regular Season Round 23 game, before joining their National Team in Varese for the match against Hungary.

Christian Burns, Leonardo Candi, Riccardo Cervi, Simone Fontecchio, Pierpaolo Marini, Andrea Pecchia and Achille Polonara will also be available if needed.
